Under state law, contributions from individuals, other PACs, and non-corporate businesses (such as professional corporations or associations, partnerships, and sole proprietors) can be donated to candidates or used for any political purpose. Corporate donations are also welcomed, but can only be used for administrative purposes like rent and overhead that are not political. Like any political contribution, a donation to Friends of the University of Texas System PAC is not tax deductible. There is no limit on the amount you can contribute. You can give as much or as little as you wish.
An individual or business contributor is not required to file any reports with any governmental body. Reporting is the responsibility of Friends of the University PAC. We do, however, need certain information with your contribution, including: your name, address, and a general description of your occupation.
